History Highlights Tour Bordentown Historical Society lead a tour of Bordentown City's downtown "history highlights" for 50 members of the New Jersey Society of Pennsylvania September 19, 2019. Michael Skelly had lead a history tour for Rutgers Alumni Association years before and a Board member from the NJ Society of Pennsylvania wanted his group to have a similar visit. The tour ran for an action-packed hour and a half. It featured visits to historic highlights and amazing stories of Bordentown people and events that changed the world and effect our lives today. The walk went about a mile from our downtown restaurant district, Hilltop Park, D&R Canal area, to Thomas Paine Park and Statue, Bordentown Historic Society Museum, and back to the restaurant for luncheon and group festivities. Thanks to Michael Skelly, Doug Kiofsky, and Steve Lederman, Historical Society volunteers for a successful event.
